Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at the other blog I write for, The Broke and the Bookish.
Hello! It's Sunday night, and I'm writing this post two days into my road trip across the USA (from Utah to Florida). Right now, I'm in Topeka, Kansas at a Comfort Suites.
<--- Right here, actually.
Anyway, there is no guarantee that I will have wi-fi in Paducah, Kentucky tomorrow night so I thought I'd be safe and write my post up tonight. Also, because I'm in the hotel I don't really have time to make a pretty amazing TTT graphic. So, it'll just be a list today. :(
This was actually a really hard topic for me, because so many of the books I read are already duets or trilogies. Sometimes I just miss the characters, though, so that's what I will mostly be focusing on today.
Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Sequels
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
I know we get a little bit of these two in Lola, but I want a whole other book for them! I love those two, and I want to know where things went after the story we got to read ended.
Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
I just really love Dash and Lily. And I love books set in NYC. I'd love to see what happened with their relationship, and if they continued with the red notebook of tasks. :)
Nocturne by Syrie James
The ending left SO much more to be desired. Syrie even told me herself that Michael and Nicole's story is far from over. We only got to see them for three days! I want more!
The Summer My Life Began by Shannon Greenland
I just love the family in this book, and the setting. I want to spend another summer there!
An extra book in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer
I'd really like to see what happens with Jacob and Reneesme.
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
I just love Oliver...
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
It needs a sequel, and Stephenie told us she was going to write one! So come on, already!
Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard
I want to travel more with Bria and Rowan!
Unbreak My Heart by Melissa C. Walker
I love Red, and I love Clementine's family! I want to see them again!
Which books did you choose? And wish me luck as I continue my realllllllly long drive!
oh yes I'd love more of anna and etienne! and dash and lily for sure
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
There is a sequel for The Host coming out. I believe it's The Seeker. I do also think it's a trilogy if I remember seeing correctly. Though I have yet to read it and fell asleep during the movie... lol. Will definitely read it when I have the time to or have nothing to read.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT
Yep, I totally agree with more Anna!
ReplyDeleteI never even thought about another Twilight book...though I did wonder about Jacob and Renesme after Breaking Dawn ended. That would be an interesting story!
I agree about Anna!!! I want to see some little French/English/American gap-toothed, short babies!! They are perfect. I LOVED Lola. I just wrote a blog about it on my blog. It was so good but I just love Anna. And also St. Clair. Mostly St. Clair ;)

Tightrope to the Sun
Oh, another Twilight book is a great addition to the list. I hadn't thought of that, but I also wonder where that plot line would have led.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
I completely forgot about adding The Statistical Probability. I'd love to know what happened next with Hadley and Oliver.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Nocturne is on my 'read soon' list but friends who recommended it have said it deserves a sequel.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I never thought about what another Twilight book could look like, but that sounds like it could be interesting. Love your list!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
I really want a sequel to Unbreak My Heart as well!! That was such an amazing book! And Anna made my list as well :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having fun on your roadtrip!!
Stephanie Perkins and Jennifer E Smith's books are quite popular in this week's topic.
ReplyDeleteWanderlove and The Host has been popping up quite a lot too :D
My TTT
I didn't include Anna but the more I see it the more I'm thinking I'd love a dedicated sequel to them, too! Happy roadtripping :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I'd love a sequel to The Host and Anna (I want more Etienne!) :)
ReplyDeleteTTT @ Eveline's Books
Another Twilight book would be great. I'm not the biggest fan of the series, but I'm definitely interested in hearing what would happen with that whole situation! And then Anna! It doesn't need a sequel, but I want more Anna and St. Clair moments!
ReplyDelete- Tabitha @ Tabitha's Book Blog
I'd also love to read another Dash and Lily book - perhaps Nick, Norah, Naomi and Eli can crop up somewhere too!
ReplyDeleteI am completely all for a sequel for The Statistical Probability of First Love! Shall me make a petition? :)
ReplyDeleteLily @ Lilysbookblog
I haven't read any of those yet, but The Host is sitting at home, waiting to be read!

I would snatch up a second book of Bria and Rowan so fast. Especially if there would be more of Kirsten's drawings. And more travelling! Yes, please! Just thinking about all the wonderful places they could go makes me squeal! :)
ReplyDeleteI would be so happy if Anna and the French Kiss had a sequel! Great picks. :b
ReplyDeleteYou know, I would really like to see what happens with Jacob and Renesmee, too. Maybe a really long novella or something. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAnna and the French Kiss!! Yes, that would be fun. And agreed about The Host, Wanderlove, and Unbreak My Heart!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices :)
I've been seeing a lot about Anna and the French Kiss. Must read that one (I did love Lola). And I agree about Stephenie Meyer it's been way too long, she needs to give us something more!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine: http://margoberendsen.blogspot.com/2013/08/top-ten-books-i-wish-could-have-had.html
DeleteDash and Lily made my list as well:) And ditto on wanting more from Stephanie Meyers and The Host! Come on. The wait has been FOREVER. I wouldn't mind more Rowan and Bria from Wanderlove either:)
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness, I haven't read any of these. There's been a lot of variety in the TTT lists this week! Here's my TTT listl
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing I put Anna on my own list, because the Anna and St. Clair moments in Lola were not enough! I also like the idea of another Twilight book to see what happens with Jacob and Renesmee. Great list!
ReplyDeleteJodi you're a Rockstar! Not only do you write amazing books, BUT you are an incredible person too. You always take time to Tweet and answer your email and comments :) You Rock!!!
