Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at the other blog I write for, The Broke and the Bookish.
I think we're probably all guilty of impulse book buys or the good 'ole "I must have this book because I hear it is exciting/swoonworthy/romantic/full of all the feels/amazing/the best book ever" syndrome. I know many of you, my fellow bloggers and readers, have been the reason FOR these purchases of mine (I love you for it, you know.). Please don't hate me when you find out how much I HAVEN'T read.I won't even comment on these, because pretty much all I could say is, "I KNOW GUYS, I'm sorry. Forgive me. I will read it. I will read it now." I hope to get to all of these this summer. :)

OMG Jana you MUST make the time to read these as they are mostly fantastic books! My recs would be Rebecca, Divergent, Shatter Me...heck they're all good but those are my top 3 LOL

Don't worry about Divergent that is all hype I read and don't like! I would read 13 little blue env. loved loved and Shatter Me, Reached and Crossed are still in mine! I hear you:)trust me I buy and then never read. LOL
ReplyDeleteEEE!! Your list reminded me of SO MANY books that I have to read-- Meant To Be, Matched series, Paper Towns, Every Day, Amy and Roger's Epic Detour. That's almost the entire list haha. I'll promise to do these purchased books justice. Really.

I loved 13 Little Blue Envelopes. And Rebecca, actually. I read that one...oh man...12 years ago? Anyway...it was one of the books I had to read in English class that I actually enjoyed. It looks like you have a lot of really good books on this list - and some that are on my own mental shelf of "to read." Happy reading!

Friend, you MUST read Divergent. I absolutely INSIST. It is one of my favorite series EVER EVER EVER.
ReplyDeleteWhew, okay. Anyway, I also highly recommend Shatter Me (for its unique writing) and Amy & Roger's Epic Detour (for the story - road trip!) and The Lonely Hearts Club (for the girl power + friendship)!
Divergent and Shatter Me are both on my TBR book shelf, too. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who hasn't read Divergent yet. I completely keep meaning to but then something distracts me.

ReplyDeleteThese are all great books! I've read 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Amy and Roger, and The Lonely Heart Club and they were all so good! I'm currently reading Divergent, and am enjoying it waay more than I expected to. Meant to Be, Shatter Me, Every Day, and Paper Towns are also on my TBR list. I'm so ashamed I haven't read them yet! I'll get to them...soon. Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteNooooo! There are too many on that list you HAVE to read. I loved 13 Little Blue Envelopes and Every Day and Meant to Be especially. But I have a ton. I've stopped going into bookstores though to avoid the whole, adding physical books to my to-read shelf.
ReplyDeleteI love Rebecca! Crossed and Reached aren't as good as Matched, in my opinion. I understand wanting closure, but I kind of wish I had just imagined the rest of the story in my mind. I liked Divergent but didn't love it; just be sure to read Insurgent pretty soon after before you forget who all the characters are!

I've read Divergent, Shatter Me, and 13 Little Blue Envelopes. They are all amazing and you'll want to go to the store and get the next book right away! You should definitely put them on the top of your to read list!
